Seismic Safety was founded in 1954 by renowned residential Earthquake retrofit expert, Ed Sylvis and is located in Pasadena, California.  Pasadena is also home to the Caltech Earthquake Research Campus . For more than 50 years, Seismic Safety has been the company of choice for people looking to protect their home and property from damage using a foundation reinforcement process known as Seismic or Earthquake Retrofitting to enhance building safety during an Earthquake.

Our inspectors have each been with us for more than 18 years.  They have been trained to give you the dispassionate facts about what might be needed and why ALSO what isn't needed and why not. We will NEVER diminish nor exaggerate your structural conditions AND that is why our inspectors do not work on a commission. We expect you to be at the property for the onsite verbal report. You will then receive a written report including recommendations, along with an actual cost quote for the recommended work.

The contranctor wanted to charge near $7,000.00 for the job I was very pleased with the service I received by Seismic Safety; both over the phone and in person. They determined this because by the year the house was built and the area of the house For piece of mind, I had Seismic Safety come over anyway to inspect the bolts. They provided a follow-up report 2 days later stating that no work needed to be done and the house was indeed sufficiently bolted. They came out quickly (charging a nominal fee which would be applied to the work should they be awarded the job), and gave me an estimate within 48 hours of my first call. They were professional, maintained a clean worksite, and did quality work that passed the city inspection immediately. The job took 3 days. I would recommend them without hesitation"
