Founded in 1954, Seismic Safety/ Ed Sylvis Construction is widely recognized as the premier Southland resource for residential earthquake retrofitting and reinforcement. We have a proven track record and work hand in glove with building authorities, structural engineering firms, seismologists, geologists, earthquake insurance underwriters, home inspection associations, and the best realty firms. Foundation Repair Specialists

With over 57 years of hands-on experience, Ed Sylvis, General Contractor, is a third-generation specialist in foundation problem solution and foundation repair. He was founder and executive director of SCARRP (Southern California Association Residential Retrofit Professions), an organization monitoring the local and statewide guidelines that set seismic safety standards and professional ethics. Ed Sylvis lectures regularly on seismic safety techniques throughout California.
