Our Mission
Founded in 1954, Seismic Safety/ Ed Sylvis Construction is widely recognized as the premier Southland resource for residential earthquake reinforcement. We have a proven track record and work hand in glove with building authorities, structural engineering firms, seismologists, geologists, earthquake insurance underwriters, home inspection associations, and the best realty firms.
Our retrofit projects include the U.S. Geological Survey Offices and the Southern California Earthquake Center at Caltech as well as local area homes in every price range.
Both the USGS and the Earthquake Center rely on us.

Our Process
We never do estimates - they tend to either falsely encourage or falsely discourage home owners. We do however provide actual quotes for work that is actually needed.
Our quotes are based on an actual "eyes on" an accurate exploration of an individual property. You can rely on our quotes.
